Punjab to participate in Dubai expo 2021

Aug 3, 2021: The Punjab government will actively participate in the trade expo in Dubai, a provincial government official said.

Presiding over a meeting of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT), Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal reviewed the arrangements regarding the Pakistan Pavilion at the Dubai Expo.

Iqbal said that Punjab Board of Investment and Trade would play an active role in this regard and bring more investment in the province. Dr. Arfa Iqbal, Chief Executive Officer, PBIT informed about the participation of Punjab Province in Dubai Expo.

“Punjab will fully participate in the expo starting from October 1, 2021 in Dubai,” the provincial minister said, adding that exhibitions, business seminars, Iqbal Day events and other business activities should be held in November this year. 

“We have to divert our attention from the traditional way and participate in the Dubai Expo with new trends and ideas,” he said. The Minister said that Punjab Board of Investment should make all possible efforts to provide better facilities to the investors and play its full role in increasing investment in the province.

Punjab Board of Investment and Trade’s Chief Operating Officer Jalal Hassan, Directors Afrin, Sharqi Tipu and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
