BERLIN / RAWALPINDI: ‘Purposeful international support is essential for resolving regional conflicts’: Army Chief General Bajwa talks in Germany In order to resolve regional conflicts and challenges, claiming that purposeful international support is essential.
According to ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met the German Foreign Minister during his official visit to Germany in which the Special Representative of Pakistan and Afghanistan were also present.
The two discussed issues of mutual interest, the regional security situation and the Afghan peace process, as well as issues related to the promotion of mutual cooperation.
On the occasion, the Chief of Army Staff said that Pakistan gives special importance to relations with Germany and Pakistan is keen to further enhance mutual cooperation with Germany in various fields.
The German Foreign Minister and Representative appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in the region and reiterated Germany’s commitment to further enhance cooperation in various fields.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief also addressed the German Command and Staff College in which the Army Chief spoke on Pakistan’s regional, internal security aspects, challenges and threats.
