Qatar Airways aircraft makes emergency landing at Lahore airport

LAHORE: A Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, makes an emergency landing at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.

According to the details, the Qatar Airways flight number QR-3248 from Doha to Dhaka landed at the Lahore airport for medical emergency. The plane had to make an emergency landing due to ill health of 6 Bangladeshi passengers on board. Bangladeshi passenger Amin-ul-Haq was rushed to the hospital with a heart condition.

Airport sources said that medical aid was provided to five other passengers at the airport, one passenger Aminul Haq and his fellow passenger were off-loaded from the plane. The foreign plane has returned to Dhaka after leaving the hospital-bound passenger and his companion.

In case of emergency, the pilot had sought permission from the Lahore Airport Air Traffic Controller (ATC) to land, on which the Lahore Airport ATC gave landing permission to the aircraft.
