Quranic Teachings to be a part of the curriculum
Lahore, 9th November: Hearing on an appeal to make Quranic teachings an integral part of the curriculum in educational institutions was heard in the court.
Baaghi TV: The Lahore High Court has summoned the Chairman Higher Education Commission and Secretary Religious Affairs for tomorrow’s hearing in this regard.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed heard Al-Tamish Saeed’s intra-court appeal.
The court had expressed frustration over the appearance of the concerned authorities.
The petitioner requested that society can be further improved by imparting Quranic teachings to children in schools. He also said that incorporating Qur’anic teachings into the curriculum is a matter of time.
