Raj Thackeray’s party puts a ban on Mahira Khan and others to work in India
Lahore, 20th May: In a recent update, a Hindu extremist party has announced that no Pakistani artist will be allowed to work in India.
According to Indian media, Ameya Khopkar, president of the cinema wing of Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra’s political party Novnirma Sena, has stated that any Pakistani artist, including Mahira Khan, is allowed to work here in Maharashtra or any part of India.
The reaction of the political party came after the news when Mahira Khan said in an interview that she was being offered Indian projects and she has accepted the offer.
It should be noted that a few days ago while talking about the ban on Pakistani artists working in India, Miss Khan expressed that the news of the ban made her sad.
I myself have gained experience working in India and I feel that not only Pakistani but also artists from the subcontinent have been deprived of the opportunity to share their experience by working together, she added.
In a virtual interview with the famous Indian writer, Anupama Chopra, Mahira Khan admitted that she had received several job offers from Bollywood which she did not want to give up because of the excellent content.
Mahira Khan said that she was scared of working in Bollywood and wondered what people would think but now she doesn’t think so, now she thinks that she should not leave her choice behind for political reasons.
It may be recalled that earlier, news about Mahira Khan’s work in the Indian drama ‘Yar Julaha’ has gone viral.
It should be noted that Mahira Khan had worked with Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan in the film “Raees” in 2017.
However, she could not participate in the promotion of her film after the ban on Pakistani artists was imposed.
