Rapid PCR Test Charges for UAE Passengers Reduced

Islamabad: In a spot of great news for UAE travelers, the fee for the rapid PCR test for all passengers going from Pakistan to Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi has been reduced from Rs 6500 to Rs 5000, an approximately 23% decrease.

according to reports, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has said that all passengers going to the UAE will be able to get their test done for only Rs 5,000 instead of the previous amount of Rs 6500. In this regard, all laboratories at the airport have been officially informed.

It may be recalled that earlier, at the Faisalabad International Airport, this new change was implemented after which all those going to UAE will have to pay lesser.

It is to be noted that the UAE authorities had issued a new directive on rapid PCR tests for the citizens of Pakistan, India, Nepal, Nigeria, and Sri Lanka which had increased the timing of the test from 4 to 6 hours before boarding.

All airlines were obliged to implement the new directive. Any and every passenger coming to the UAE from August 17 is required to undergo a rapid PCR test before arrival.
