References against Judges: PTI leaders oblivious of filing a reference.

Neither the cabinet nor the senior leaders of PTI were taken on board regarding filing presidential references against judges in Supreme Judicial Council.

According to the reports of Baaghitv, No member of cabinet were taken into confidence when reference against judges were filed in Supreme Judicial Council (SJC). A senior leader of PTI, speaking on the condition of anonymity revealed that almost all senior cabinet and party members were surprised to learn that the presidential references had been filed.

The matter was kept in secrecy, which was quite unusual of PTI but the Prime Minister was aware of the development as the reference was drafted on the instruction of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The first hearing of the said reference against judges will be held on June 14, 2019 in Supreme Judicial Council.
