India has sent its warships toward Pakistan after a series of border clashes between India and Pakistan. According to Indian defense sources, New Delhi has moved its Western Navy closer to the North Arabian Sea, which has brought the ships closer to Karachi, Pakistan’s largest port. The battle group, which consists of an aircraft carrier, destroyers, frigates and anti-submarine ships, is about 300-400 miles off the Pakistani coast.
On Friday, explosions were heard in Jammu, Indian-administered Kashmir, and emergency alarms rang out, causing a power outage. Omar Abdullah, the chief minister of Indian-administered Kashmir, said in a social media post that he was hearing intermittent explosions where he was, possibly from heavy artillery.

Pakistan claimed to have shot down several Indian Air Force aircraft, including three French-made Rafale fighter jets after the Indian Air Force had carried out airstrikes on various locations in Pakistan on May 7, in retaliation for the April 22 attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people.
The presence of the Indian Navy and the Russian-made Brahmos cruise missiles used in the attacks pose a serious threat to Pakistan. These missiles have a range of 500 miles and carry a 300-kilogram warhead. Analysts have warned that an Indian attack on Karachi could have serious repercussions for Pakistan, as Karachi is the hub of 60 percent of Pakistan’s trade and is also home to the headquarters of the Pakistan Navy.
