Regional meeting on Afghanistan failed

The 8-nation regional summit on Afghanistan failed miserably; India failed miserably and their motion was rejected by the other parties, as per reports.

According to the International News Agency, India had convened a meeting of national security advisers of neighboring countries on the situation in Afghanistan. The regional meeting was led by India’s National Security Advisor.

Prior to the meeting, Pakistan and China had rejected India’s invitation to attend the meeting, but national security advisers from Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan attended.

The end of this failed Indian summit from the very beginning was very disappointing, India failed miserably in achieving its nefarious goals. The two sides rejected India’s link to Afghanistan with terrorism.

Russia also not only rejected India’s position but also issued a separate statement from the declaration disagreeing with it. India has been humiliated when two statements from a meeting came to light with conflicting content.

The statement from India said that the meeting focused on the dangers posed by terrorism, radicalism and drug trafficking in Afghanistan.
