Lahore, 13th May: ‘Rehmat Hee Rahmat’, the program sponsored by Q-Mobile telecast daily during the month of Ramadan, discussed the major qualities of a leader.

In today’s program senior anchorperson, Mubasher Lucman asked today’s guest Jamaat-e-Islami central leader Ameer-ul-Azeem that one may disagree with the teachings of Maulana Syed Abul Ali Maududi. But there is no denying the training he gave to his followers as workers and party members. Can’t we have leaders like such in Pakistan whose words and deeds do not contradict?

In response, Amir-ul-Azeem said that there are very few people whose writing, speech, words, and deeds are the same. He said that after reading the life of Maulana Maududi, we came from ethnic Islam to real Islam. He instilled in our hearts the true spirit of Islam and then we have to adapt our lives accordingly.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the only party that has served in every calamity without any distinction between Muslims and non-Muslims and has served Hindus, Christians, and Sikhs and also centralized their places of worship and provided facilities there.

Lucman said that we usually see one side of the picture, while we do not see the other side and do not describe it. We always say that the government did this, the government did that, it is the fault of the government. This is the problem of the government. We have never said that people have some responsibilities and they are also to blame.

“We don’t talk about responsibilities, we cry a lot about rights,” he said. Right now the government has relaxed a bit so people are getting that way and suddenly the graph of patients has increased. The same is true in the UK.

In this regard, the journalist Azhar from the UK said that the rate of COVID-19 is going down. Now the lockdown has also eased, but the government seems to be worried. There was a lot of rush in public transport and people did not care about SOPs because people are not careful.
