Remembering Junaid Jamshed: Four years since the preacher passed away

After meeting well-known preacher and scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel, Junaid Jamshed turned to religion and said goodbye to music. In the new identity, he was known for his Naat recitations, as well as for being a businessman, scholar and TV host. His clothing brand J. has branches all over the country.

Well known Naat reciter and preacher, Junaid Jamshed passed away four years ago. Junaid Jamshed died on December 7th, 2016 in the crash of PIA Flight 661 from Chitral to Islamabad.

Junaid Jamshed was a graduate of the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He began his career as a singer representing the pop music group Vital Signs and gained fame. The release of “Dil Dil Pakistan” in 1987 took him to the eternal heights of fame. The song, released on August 14th, gave his songs a new identity. His music albums, “Junaid of Vital Signs”, “Iss Rah Par” and “Dil Ki Baat” became immensely popular.
