He stated that he is deeply saddened and angered at a show of lack of character by PML-N leaders Maryam Nawaz, her husband Captain (retd.) Safdar and their goons standing within the mausoleum of the Quaid, chanting political slogans.
Salman Ahmed went on to say that my state of mind is such that I might not be able to say what is needed on television so I have chosen this medium to express disappointment over the actions of these irrational, incompetent, idiotic people and would like to say to them that they should give respect to Quaid-e-Azam, for he is the Father of the Nation.
He went on to say that respecting the Quaid-e-Azam has nothing to do with politics or any particular political party, rather it is to acknowledge the tireless and unending efforts of Muhammad Ali Jinnah over a period of forty years, to bring forth a revolution for which he sacrificed his all.
Salman Ahmed went on to say that the PML-N goons have shown what their truth is, what their character is, their upbringing, that they do not respect any institution within Pakistan, and that they do not respect Pakistan’s history. The renowned singer further said that the manner in which the PML-N leaders forced their way into the mausoleum to chant slogans, and attempted to commence a rally within the limitations of the Father of the Nation’s tomb, shows their level of respect for the sacrifices of our ancestors.

The Junoon singer further said that they should be severely punished for their actions. He added that not only former PM Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz but also her husband Captain (retd.) Safdar and their goons, should accordingly be imprisoned for a period of three years to compensate for the uncalled-for-actions in Karachi.
Prior to this, senior actor-comedian Khalid Anam also expressed his opinion in a video message. As reported earlier by Baaghi TV, Khalid Anum further said that Quaid-e-Azam is the father for the nation and it is a matter of personal offense for all Pakistanis to have PML-N disrespecting our leader in this way. Anum went on to say, that following the incident, if he ever comes across former PM Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law, he will make sure to slap him for his actions at the mausoleum of the Quaid.
It is to be noted that as reported earlier by Baaghi TV, Captain (retd.) Safdar had been arrested on early Monday, from the private hotel he was staying at with his wife, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz. Police forcibly entered the hotel by opening the door of Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s room and took Captain Safdar with them. He went to Karachi with Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and stayed at a local hotel after the meeting.
