Richard Branson vs Jeff Bezos: Who will win the Space Race?

Call it the race to be the first in space for billionaires or a new hobby of astronauts, British billionaire Richard Branson announced on Thursday that he will travel to space nine days ahead of Amazon founder and the world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos.
According to the details, however, the two men have already set up their own space companies and presented themselves as leaders in the space race but this announcement gives the impression of competition and rivalry.
The announcement comes as Jeff Bezos said in early June that he and his brothers would travel to space on the first flight of their astronaut company, Blue Origin. The announcement backfired on Branson, who had already announced that he would visit space himself before his company, Virgin Galactic, began commercial flights to space in 2022.

But on Thursday, Branson made the announcement and will be the first billionaire to go into space in this new space race. Branson will join Virgin Galactic’s Flight Spaceship to Unity on July 11 as a Mission Specialist. However, the company said that weather and technical reasons would be taken into account for the flight.
“I believe space is for all of us,” Branson was quoted as saying by the AP. According to him, Virgin believes in the beginning of commercial industry in the galactic space. Due to which the journey of man in space will also start and it will be better for the world.
