Abdul Rehman Salfi insulting the Ahl al Bayt, Case Filed
A case has been registered against Abdul Rehman Salfi in Sherakot Police Station of Lahore for talking insultingly in the honor of the Ahl al Bayt, including Imam Musa Kazim.
According to details, the case was registered under Section 295A and 298A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), and Section 16 of the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960 (Ordinance XXXI of 1960) on the complaint of Syed Abrar Hussain Rizvi.
Petitioner Syed Abrar Hussain Rizvi took a stand in the First Information Report (FIR) that Maulvi Abdul Rehman Salafi had insulted the honor of Imam Musa Kazim, the seventh Imam in Islam and a member of the Ahl al Bayt of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Abdul Rehman Salfi’s insolence has not only desecrated the Ahl al Bayt, but has also hurt the feelings of the entire Muslim community worldwide, including Shias and Sunnis. The FIR requested that immediate and strict action be taken against the accused in accordance with the law.

Protests, rallies and demonstrations were held in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore and other cities of the country on Friday, July 2, 2021. In Sherakot area of Lahore, the protesters closed the road completely and demanded to register an immediate case against this person from the police administration.

However, after three hours of protest, the police have registered a case against the man under Sections 295A and 298A of the PPC.
It may be recalled that Maulvi Abdul Rehman Salfi’s real name is Azan Elahi Rehman, who lives near Masjid Habib, Defense Road, Mohalla Jinnah Town, Sialkot. Last week, Salfi’s audio message went viral on social media in which he was talking insultingly in honor of Imam Musa Kazim.
