Baaghi TV has learnt that efforts of the opposition to unite the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) are failing.
According to reports, leading parties of the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), are competing against each other to get a position in the Senate of Pakistan. In lieu of this, PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gilani has submitted a petition for leader of the opposition in the Senate.
PPP’s Sherry Rehman has commented that the petition includes signatures of thirty members including leaders of the PPP, ANP, and Jamaat-e-Islami. Meanwhile, it is reported that Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI-F has contacted Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to negotiate.
