Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United, how many million dollars deal?
London: Portugal’s star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to his old English club Manchester United once again.
Cristiano Ronaldo was playing for Italian club Juventus, but on Thursday he informed his club that he did not want to play for the club anymore.
Returning to Manchester United and a speedy deal stunned the football world.
Manchester United wrote in a tweet on social media that welcome back, Cristiano. Minutes after the tweet, the club’s official website crashed.
Ronaldo, 36, joined Manchester United in 2003 at the age of 17 but is now totally different from the winger of the era.
In the six years since joining United in 2003, Ronaldo has scored 118 goals in 292 appearances and quickly became one of the most dangerous strikers in the world. He also won the FIFA World Player of the Year award five times.
How many million dollars did the deal cost?
Ronaldo has signed a 15million euro (7.17 million dollars) fee deal with United, with an additional 8million euro(9.4million dollars), but the transfer from Juventus is subject to personal conditions, a visa and a medical examination.
This is the second big and surprising news in the transfer window for the players as Ronaldo’s long-time rival Lionel Messi has recently joined the French club by saying goodbye to his club Barcelona.
There are reports that United did not expect Ronaldo to leave Juventus in the transfer window, so they tried when it became clear that they were available.
On Thursday, Ronaldo met with Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri and told him he wanted to leave the club where he had spent the last three years after splitting from Real Madrid.
It should be noted that Ronaldo had one year left in his contract with Juventus.
“Everyone at the club is looking forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester,” United said in a brief statement.
