‘Royals are not racist’, Prince William denies the allegations

Lahore, 11th March: Prince William has come forth to defend that Britain’s royals are not racist after recently made allegations by Meghan Markle, wife of his younger brother Harry have come to light.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, gave an explosive tell-all interview to Oprah Winfrey which was aired on Sunday, plunged the British monarchy into its biggest crisis since the death of Princess Diana, William and Harry’s mother in 1997.

During the interview, Meghan Markle had alleged that one unnamed senior member of the royal family had asked how dark their son Archie’s skin might be.

When Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge made their first public appearance since Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, a reported asked him if the royal family was racist, to which he replied, “We’re very much not a racist family.”

When asked by a reporter if the Duke has met his brother after the explosive interview, William said he has not yet spoken to his brother, but promised he would.

According to reports, Prince William and Kate visited a school in East London on Thursday morning.

During the interview with Oprah, Harry and Meghan also recalled conversations that they say took place between a family member and Harry related to the colour of Archie’s skin.

As per reports, Meghan revealed that there were concerns about how dark Archie’s skin might be when he’s born.

While they did not clarify who made the remark, they said it was not the Queen or Prince Philip.

As per reports, on Tuesday, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on behalf of the Queen, that read, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”

It further read, “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”
