Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Meeting For Ramadan

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting has been convened on Thursday the 23rd of April regarding the sighting of the moon for the arrival of Ramadan.

The meeting will be chaired by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and will be held in Karachi. All zonal committees will be held at their respective provincial headquarters. A notification has been issued in this regard.

 

It is, however, predicted that this year, the first Ramadan will appear on April 25, the day after the completion of 30 days of Sha’baan. The crescent sighting will start from Thursday night, but the moon for Ramadan will be visible on Friday night in Pakistan.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Sharaf Safani said the first of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia is likely to take place on Friday, April 24, according to a foreign news agency. According to this, Ramadan in Saudi Arabia will commence from the 24th of April this year.
