Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet on April 13 for Ramadan moon sighting

Lahore, 12th April: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on Tuesday for sighting the moon of Ramadan.

According to reports, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet tomorrow in Peshawar to sight the Ramadan moon.

A session of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held on April 13 and respective meetings of the zonal and district committees will also take place at their respective headquarters.

This would be the first time that the Ramadan moon sighting will take place under the new chairman, Moulana Azad, who was appointed by the federal government in December last year, replacing Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.

The new chairman had said earlier that he would make sure that the entire nation observes Ramadan fasts on the same day throughout the country.

Similarly, he wants the whole country to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on the same day too.
