 Lahore, 16th July: A Russian plane carrying up to 17 people disappeared from radars while flying over the Siberian region of Tomsk.

According to details, a Russian Antonov, which is a 28-passenger plane, was carrying 17 people on board disappeared while flying over the Siberian region of Tomsk on Friday.

Plane goes missing with 29 passengers on board

The Russian news agency cited local officials saying that a flight from the town of Kedrovy in the Tomsk region to the regional capital of Tomsk was carrying between 13 to 17 passengers.

Russian media say the plane, operated by the regional airline SiLA, had 3 crew members on board, and 14 people including children.
Officials added that flight crews had not reported any turbulence before the plane went missing. Meanwhile, the region’s governor said two helicopters had been dispatched to search for the plane.

It is to be noted that the reports of the Russian plane missing in Siberia come less than two weeks after a similar aircraft crashed into a cliff due to poor visibility. The plane crashed on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia’s far east, subsequently, all 28 people on board got killed.
