Saira Banu visits Dilip Kumar, pictured outside Hinduja hospital
Lahore, 5th July: Veteran Bollywood actress Saira Banu visited her husband Dilip Kumar at Bandra’s Hinduja Hospital where he has been recently admitted.
According to reports, the 98-year-old legendary actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to a hospital on Tuesday last week after he complained of breathlessness.
Kumar’s wife Saira Banu paid him a visit on Sunday, the pictures of which have gone viral since yesterday.
Donning a white suit, Saira Banu waved at the paparazzi outside the hospital. Earlier on Saturday, Saira Banu updated about the actor’s health and said that he is still stable.
On Saturday, Saira Banu said in a statement to the Indian News Agency ANI that ‘Dilip Kumar’s health is still stable. He is in the ICU. We want to take him home but we are waiting for doctors’ approval as they know his medical state better. As soon as they allow, we will take him home.’

She added, “He will not be discharged today. Need prayers from his fans, he will be back soon.”
It is to be noted that this is the second time Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the hospital within a period of one month.
Earlier he was taken to the hospital on June 6 after he felt short of breath. He was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and went under successful treatment. Later he was discharged on June 11.
Dilip Kumar debuted as an actor in the film ‘Jwar Bhata’ in 1944 which was produced by Bombay Talkies.
In a career spanning over five decades, he worked in over 65 films, the most famous of which include ‘Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Shakti, Aan’ and many more. Kumar was last seen in the movie ‘Qila’ in 1998.
