Salim Merchant, Farhan Saeed in hot debate over latter's claim of his song copied

Pakistani singer and actor Farhan Saeed had a hot debate with Indian singer Salim Merchant after the latter rejected his accusation of copying his song ‘Royiaan‘.

Salim Merchant replied to him claiming that he and his brother never copied any song in their profession.  He said, “Its just a mere coincidence that the chorus of Haareya is like you song. To be honest, I’ve never heard it before. It happens many times when notes have a natural progression from each other. Sulaiman and I have a track record of never plagiarizing.”

On his response, the Sunnol Chanda actor replied, “Salim, if you say so! Another co incidence is we have the same lyricist! Anyway good luck!”

Salim again responded by refuting the accusation and replied, “Why don’t you check with him! If I had to copy, I would have done that way long back in my career. I really wish I had heard your song before I made mine. Would have surely made changes to our composition to make it sound different from yours.”

The Indian and Pakistani followers of both also have been arguing in the comments to to support their respective singers.
