Riyadh: A two-week holiday has been announced in Saudi Arabia on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
According to Arab media, the Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare has announced Eid-ul-Adha holidays for employees of public and private institutions.
According to the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare, the holidays of government employees will begin on Thursday, July 23, after completing their duty on 2 Dhuʻl-Hijjah. Government employees will return to duty on Sunday, August 9 on 19 Dhuʻl-Hijjah.
The Ministry of Manpower says that the Eid-ul-Adha holidays of the employees of private companies will be four days. The holidays of private employees will start on Wednesday, July 29, after completing their duty on 8 Dhuʻl-Hijjah. Will return to duty on Monday 3 August, on 13 Dhuʻl-Hijjah.
It should be noted that according to section 25 of the labor law, if the holiday of the festival or national day is being met during the weekly holiday, then the employee will be compensated before or after the holiday.
Remember that the moon of Dhuʻl-Hijjah has not been seen in Saudi Arabia. The first Dhuʻl-Hijjah will be on Wednesday, July 22, the rituals of Hajj will start from July 28, Waqf Arafa will be on July 30 and Eid-ul-Adha will be on July 31.
