Saudi Arabia announces the date of the first Ramadan

Lahore, 8th April: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the date for the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Baaghi TV‘s report, the Kingdom has finally made the announcement regarding the beginning of Ramadan.

The notification issued by the Saudi government said that the month of Sha’ban will consist of 29 days in the country and the moon for the holy month of Ramadan will appear on April 12.

Hence, the first Ramadan will be on Tuesday, April 13.

Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates will follow Saudi Arabia’s sighting of the new moon.

Similarly, Indonesia, Lebanon, Morocco and Syria will start fasting from Tuesday, April 13, while countries further east and west will commence as the moon is sighted.
