Saudi Civil Aviation Authority publishes new directive for Umra pilgrims
Aug 25, 2021: According to the order issued by the Saudi Arabian Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the corona vaccination certificate of the passengers will be seen before boarding the plane.
Saudi Arabian authority approved vaccinations for traveling to the Kingdom against corona include Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. According to the order, in addition to the vaccination certificate, corona PCR test is also mandatory 72 hours before arrival in Saudi Arabia.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia has allowed foreigners who have received both doses of the corona vaccine to return to the kingdom. Following the new order, citizens of other travel-restricted countries, including Pakistan, who are employed in Saudi Arabia or who have a Saudi residence permit, can return to Saudi Arabia, provided they have been approved by the Saudi government.
It is acceptable for expatriates to return to work in the kingdom if both doses of the vaccine have been administered.
On the other hand, the Pakistani embassy in the Saudi capital Riyadh has welcomed the decision to give passengers and workers permission to travel directly from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.
