Saudi Prince makes a big announcement
Riyadh, June 28th: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has announced that a solar energy project will be launched in the kingdom soon.
According to Arab media reports, in a statement, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said that under the possible solar energy project, the cheapest electricity will be generated in Saudi Arabia, the project will be launched soon.
He said that under the vision, Saudi Arabia would generate 50% of its own electricity by 2030, for which it would use other energy sources, including the project, and plans were afoot to expand the wind power project.
The minister said that they are currently working on various steps to review the solar energy project, which will provide the cheapest electricity not only to Saudi Arabia but to the whole world.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman also said that Saudi Arabia is now very serious about energy saving programs, and is also committed to increasing the country’s energy sector.
