School-going children abducted in broad daylight, parents appeal for recovery

The law and order situation in Punjab is getting worse each day, according to a Baaghi TV report, two school-going children have been kidnapped on their way to school in Khanpur, Punjab.

According to Baaghi TV, authorities fail to recover the young boys even after several hours meanwhile, a case has been registered. The unfortunate incident occurred in Khanpur Tehsil of Rahim Yar Khan.

According to Baaghi TV reports, the two young sons of Khanpur’s former MSTHQ Hassan Mehmood were abducted as they were on their way to school in a car. Armed men abducted the children at gunpoint. The police reached the scene of the crime upon information of the incident.

The incident took place in Model Town near Chugtai Hotel in the Thana City limits. According to police officials, the driver was on his way to drop off the brothers at school when three armed suspects stopped their vehicle at gunpoint and abducted 11-year-old Shayan and 7-year-old Subhan.

According to Baaghi TV reports, the parents of the kidnapped children are both doctors, their father Dr. Hassan Mehmood was a former MSTHQ (Medical Superintendent Tehsil Head Quarter) Khanpur.

The police have initiated an investigation and registered a case pertaining to the abduction. They have also obtained CCTV footage of the incident. SHO Thana City visited the scene of the crime and assured the parents their children will be recovered soon. On the other hand, the DPO has taken notice of the incident and has directed the local police to recover the minors using all efforts possible.

According to SHO Thana City, the driver who was dropping the boys off at school has been detained on suspicion. Meanwhile, he has assured the abductees will be recovered soon. On the other hand, SPO Rahim Yar Khan has claimed the incident is the first of its kind.

The incident has angered the medical community, as well as local residents who are concerned about the deteriorating situation of law and order. Residents have expressed that despite the twelve hours having passed since the abduction, police have failed to recover the young brothers.

The parents of the missing children have also appealed to the higher authorities to help them recover their children.
