School in Islamabad gets closed after report of COVID-19 cases

Islamabad,15th September: An educational institution in the federal capital Islamabad was sealed on the first day of its opening.

According to reports, a large educational institution was sealed in Islamabad after the corona case was reported.

According to the NCOC, 16 coronavirus cases were reported in the institution during targeted testing. However, contact tracing will continue for the prevention of corona.

COVID-19: NCOC focused on testing across schools and tourist destinations

The NCOC said that parents and teachers are requested to pay special attention to the following issues while sending their children to school.

They should send their children to school wearing masks even if it is a cloth mask. Never send children to school if they show signs of cough or illness. If the condition is worse, the child should be tested immediately. In the case of positive, the school should be informed.

Back to school guidelines for students and parents

The NCOC further states that maintain social distance between children. Make sure children wash their hands regularly or use a hand sanitizer. Drivers who take children to school or college should ensure social distance in their vehicles. Make sure the children are wearing face masks while sitting in the car.

Earlier, six months after the opening of the educational institution, Federal Minister Shafqat Mehmood visited a government school in Islamabad and reviewed the situation after the opening of the educational institution. The Federal Minister of Education assured the concerned administration to implement the SOPs.

PM’s important message before the opening of educational institutions

Educational institutions closed in Pakistan due to the global coronavirus have reopened today after six months. In the first phase, inter and university students have been invited to the educational institutions while the rest of the educational institutions will gradually open in the next two weeks.

One week later, on September 23, eighth-graders will be allowed to come to school. In the third phase, all primary school children will go to school on September 30.
