HBL PSL 7: DC Lahore orders closure of selected Lahore schools by 1pm

Lahore, 1st March: Educational institutions across Pakistan are back to regular classes from today except for Sindh.

Baaghi TV: Schools across the country have resumed five-day regular classes from Monday, 1st of March.

According to reports, last week the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood had announced that educational institutions across the country will be opened five days a week from March 1. The federal government also said the decision will apply to all educational institutions.

However, given the situation of the coronavirus pandemic, attendance of children in educational institutions in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi will be reduced to 50% instead of the full 100%.

Baaghi TV also reported that on Sunday, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani had opposed the decision of the federal government allowing schools to resume five-day regular classes from March 1. He said the announcement has created confusion among students.

Ghani also stated that schools will only allow 50 per cent attendance and added that regular classes cannot resume in Sindh due to the coronavirus situation.
