Schools likely to be closed again if SOPs are not followed

Lahore, 7th September: Today federal government made the announcement that the educational institutions across the country will be reopened from September 15.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, the government has announced to reopen the educational institutes phase-wise.
However, the management of educational institutions will be bound to ensure full implementation of SOPs issued by the health department, otherwise the institutions will be closed again.

These views were expressed by Raja Yasir Humayun, Provincial Minister for Higher Education while talking to media after attending the conference of Provincial Ministers of Education through video link.
Raja Yasir Humayun said on the occasion that it was the joint responsibility of the government and the heads of educational institutions to provide a healthy environment to the children along with the educational needs.

With the best strategy of the government, the spread of coronavirus has been largely controlled and as the situation has improved, the government has decided to reopen all the educational institutions in Punjab from September 15.
When will educational institutions open?
Provincial Minister Raja Yasir Humayun further said that the opening of educational institutions has been made conditional on the implementation of SOPs issued by the health department.
Provincial Minister Raja Yasir Humayun instructed the parents to send their children to school and college wearing masks. He said in case of any cough or illness in the children, they should not be allowed to attend their school.
The provincial minister also directed the heads of educational institutions to maintain social distance between the children, wash their hands frequently and ensure the use of hand sanitizers, and use of face masks should be made mandatory in educational institutions.
