Lahore, 8th September: The federal government has directed schools to reduce fees.

According to details, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has directed all private schools across the country to reduce fees in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to sources, speaking on a program on a private TV channel, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood said that schools which charge more than Rs 5,000 per month have been asked to reduce fees by 20 per cent for the next five months after the opening of schools.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said that the decision to reopen educational institutions would be reviewed on a daily basis and if any case of corona comes to light from any school, it would be closed.

The Federal Minister for Education said that smart and micro-lockdown will be carried out against those who do not implement SOPs.

The most difficult task after the coronavirus is to open schools. He requested the provincial governments to scrutinized the situation very carefully and in this regard, if any school does not implement the SOPS, then the government has the right to close it.

According to sources, in response to a question on one occasion, Shafqat Mehmood said that in senior classes and universities, it is hoped that the children there will follow the SOPs, looking closely at the testing statistics and information on a daily basis.

If we suspect that things are going badly and if we suspect that SOPs are being violated in a school, then it will be micro-locked. We will not wait for 15-20 days but will review the situation daily.
