Talking about the upcoming event, Furqan Hyder Shaikh said that everyone has to work in a team, and through this goals can be met and targets could be achieved. Adding that there are multiple types of calls for proposals and development initiatives by organizations and SDS needs to participate in the funding process with an innovative approach in order to implement projects which aim to train communities on how to catch fish rather than giving fish in hand to eat.  Furthermore, he also shared his previous experience of achieving funding through writing proposals.

Paras Ghaffar said that SDS has worked on many components of social development such as gender equality, gender-based violence, social awareness, health awareness, campaign on cleanliness, child marriage, and child labor. He said that prior to previous experience, SDS would be organizing and celebrating women’s day with a new working style.

He also emphasized that during covid-19, there were multiple issues for all the people, but at that time, SDS would recognize those who worked hard putting their lives at risk of COVID-19.  SDS would appreciate giving them shields as appreciation for their social work and for helping others.

Advocate M. Parkash and Dr. Irfana Nigar assured their input for the success of the planned activity and future upgradation of SDS.

Ghulam Shabir Jarwar, a social activist from Badin said that there is a huge difference between rural and urban women. Urban women are mostly appreciated for their work and performing different tasks, on the other hand, rural women are not appreciated for their performance of multiple types of work and duties, due to many factors. So there is to need to aware rural women of their basic rights.

Social mobilizers highlighted the need for working together for the success of the event whereas future collaboration was instrumentalized for the upgradation of Sindh’s old development organization: SDS.
