Senate Elections: An independent member from Balochistan wins a seat

Lahore, 3rd March: An independent member Abdul Qadir from Balochistan has won in the Senate elections of 2021.
Baaghi TV: According to reports, the candidate from Balochistan who PM Imran Khan had earlier preferred but his ticket has been withdrawn has won from Balochistan today.
According to sources, Abdul Qadir has completed the polling process in the Balochistan Assembly in the Senate elections in which all 65 members have cast their votes.
It may be recalled that Abdul Qadir was earlier given a ticket to the Senate by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) but his ticket was withdrawn after internal opposition in the PTI.
Besides, Secretary-General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has also been elected as a Senator from Balochistan.
Balochistan National Party (BNP) candidate Muhammad Qasim has also won the general seat. He had the support of the Opposition Alliance.
