Senate Elections: Which PTI MPA got barred from casting vote?

Lahore, 3rd March: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MPA Khurram Sher Zaman was banned from casting his vote for the Senate elections at the Sindh Assembly.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Khurram Sher Zaman was barred from voting after a mobile phone was found in his possession during the Senate elections today.

The Sindh government’s spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said a mobile phone was recovered from the PTI minister when he was about to cast his ballot. The presiding officer barred him from casting his vote.

Murtaza Wahab added that carrying a cellphone is clear violated the ECP’s code of conduct.

Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani alleged that Khurram Sher Zaman was taking a picture of his ballot with his mobile phone.

The Election Commission of Pakistan is supervising polling for 37 seats of the Senate today. A total of 37 senators, 12 each from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, 11 from Sindh, and 2 from Islamabad will get elected.
