Senior actor Athar Shah Khan ‘Jedi’ has passed away

Athar Shah Khan Jedi, a prominent Urdu poet, playwright, filmmaker, and television actor, has passed away.
Baaghi TV: Pakistan’s legendary actor of showbiz industry Athar Shah Khan Jedi has passed away. He had been suffering from diabetes and kidney disease for many years.
He graduated from Science College and later did his Masters in Journalism from Punjab University. He is considered as one of the earliest television playwrights and artists.
Athar Shah Khan Jedi’s superhit drama series include Intezar Farmaiye, Hello Hello, Burger Family, Ashiana, Aap Janab, Jedi in Trouble, Problem House, Hi Jedi, Baadab Bamulahiza and many more dramas are included.
‘Intezar Farmaiye’ was the serial of his career that made Athar Shah Khan ‘Jedi’ and took him to the heights of fame.
In 2001, he was awarded the Pride of Performance Award by the Government of Pakistan. Athar Shah Khan Jedi was awarded the Gold Medal by Pakistan Television (PTV) when it celebrated its Silver Jubilee.
