Baaghi TV has learnt that senior educationist of Pakistani origin, Baber Ali has written to the Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood to discuss a sensitive issue.
According to reports, Pakistani-born Baber Ali has written a letter to Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood regarding the plight of education in Pakistan. In the letter, he has commented on some important issues.
According to the letter, Baber Ali highlighted that he served as a member of the task force commissioned to report on the situation of higher education in developing countries. He added that the report titled “Higher Education in Developing Countries: Peril and Promise” was completed in 200 and was presented to the World Bank in Washington.
Mr. Baber Ali stated that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan was formed as a result of the findings of the report. However, Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman who was appointed as Chairman of the HEC has contributed to the loss of billions, to the Pakistani economy.
According to the letter, Mr. Baber Ali stressed that a nuclear bomb is not needed to destroy any nation. Rather, having “incompetent and dishonest people” oversee education can finish the job.
According to reports, the senior educationist and intellectual urged Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood to to step in and protect the HEC against any such conspiracies to ensure the future of Pakistan. Mr. Baber Ali ended the letter saying, “my only wish is for Pakistan to be prosperous.”
