Senior Pakistani actor speaks up against desecration by PML-N

According to Baaghi TV, following reports of PML-N leader participating in the desecration of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s tomb situated in Karachi, Pakistani actor-comedian, Khalid Anam, has shared a video message to express his disappointment.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the veteran actor and comedian Khalid Anam shared a video message expressing what he feels concerning the unfortunate incident. Anam argued, that the attitude of the PML-N was extremely disappointing and disrespectful.

Khalid Anum said that there behavior was worse than that of the Kufaar (non-Muslims as mentioned in the Holy Quran).

Referring to the arrested Captain (retd.) Safdar, Khalid Anum said, he was behaving like a band master, waving his hands around for the party workers to cahnt slogans at the mausoleum of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He went on to say that as Muslims, we are supposed to pray for the maghifrat of the deceased rather than to chant slogans of any political leadership.

Khalid Anum further said that Quaid-e-Azam is the father for the nation and it is a matter of personal offense for all Pakistanis to have PML-N disrespecting our leader in this way. Anum went on to say, that following the incident, if he ever comes across former PM Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law, he will make sure to slap him for his actions at the mausoleum of the Quaid.

In the almost two minutes and sixteen second long video, the senior actor-comedian stated, that there actions have nothing to do with any political party rather they are a show of a lack of character. He added, that Quaid-e-Azam is our father, if you have disregarded your father then that is your problem, but disrespecting the Quaid is my problem and I strongly appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, and ruling Prime Minister Imran Khan that they should charge the PML-N leaders for treason.

He concluded the video by stating that they can behave in whatever manner with their own fathers but Pakistanis cannot tolerate such a disrespectful attitude concerning our Father of the Nation.

It is to be noted that as reported earlier by Baaghi TV, Captain (retd.) Safdar had been arrested on early Monday, from the private hotel he was staying at with his wife, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz. Police forcibly entered the hotel by opening the door of Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s room and took Captain Safdar with them. He went to Karachi with Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and stayed at a local hotel after the meeting.
