Sergei Lavrov also said that the Taliban-announced interim government was not representing the whole of Afghanistan, and that ethnic, religious and political representatives in Afghanistan were working to form a government. He added that it was important for us that the promises made by the Taliban are wholly fulfilled.

He said: “US and NATO forces were hastily withdrawn from Afghanistan regardless of the consequences, adding that the remaining weapons of foreign forces in Afghanistan were in danger of being used for malicious purposes.”
