Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Shahbaz Gill, on the Chinese crisis said that the Sindh government created a sugar crisis by closing three sugar mills under a conspiracy.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Shahbaz Gill termed the sugar crisis as a conspiracy of the Sindh government and said that the Sindh government created a sugar crisis by closing down three sugar mills under a conspiracy.

He stated,

“Sugar mills start operating in Sindh in October, 3 sugar mills which were closed under conspiracy, Sindh government is closing mills for cheap political gain. Sindh government tried to make the country hostile. Yes, the Sindh government did this for scoring political points. The people know all these things.”

Shahbaz Gill also mentioned that the mills were closed for marching and protesting against the government, the Sindh government had abused the Pakistani people, sugar mills in Karen and Matiari would now run on November 10.

The Special Assistant said that Pakistan needs 700,000 tonnes of sugar and this year it will produce 70 to 72 tonnes more sugar.

He further said that the Chinese mafia took a stay order from the high court in July.

“They make expensive lawyers and tie the hands of the government by taking a stay order. Government’s hands are tied, how can Imran Khan help the poor? Powerful mafia takes stay orders from courts.”

On the other hand, Murtaza Wahab also came to the fore on the allegations of closing down three mills on the Sindh government by Shahbaz Gill and asked him the names of the three mills.

Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab, while reacting to the press conference, said that the spokesman of the federation has held the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) responsible for all the problems. Name the sugar mills and we will go and check them ourselves.

Murtaza Wahab said that sugar is getting Rs 160 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PPP is also being accused of getting sugar expensive in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there are 46 sugar mills in Punjab, 7 operate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, my question is all sugar mills in Punjab.
