Lahore, 21st September: Pakistan’s young cricket talent, Shaheen Shah Afridi proved his capabilities in the match on Sunday against Hampshire and Middlesex.

He drove Hampshire to victory by taking 4 wickets in 4 balls.

His figures were the best any bowler has ever managed in T20’s history, 6/19.

Shaheen’s Promising Beginning Interrupted by Returning Rain

The 20-year-old talented player came to bowl in the 18th over when the opposition needed 23 runs in 18 balls to win while having 4 wickets in hand. This seemed like an achievable target but who predicted that Shaheen Shah Afridi would take 4 wickets in 4 balls.

When he bowled the first two balls of his over, the opposition scored many runs, but then he started bowling yorkers, all 4 balls of his over hit the stumps!

He bowled John Simpson who has scored a total of 48 runs, Steve Finn was out on his first ball along with Thillan Walallawita and Tim Murtagh.

The fast bowler had played below average throughout the season by giving 191 runs in total and only taking one wicket, but he proved his worth in the match yesterday by setting a new record.

Hampshire had set an achievable target of 142 runs after for the Middlesex who lost 4 wickets in the 18th over and only managed to score 121 in the 20 overs they played.

This marked Hampshires first win of the season.
