Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting adds to the Beauty of Islamabad

Before the arrival of dignitaries and esteemed guests for the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) meeting, the Federal Capital Islamabad, has been decorated beautifully.

The main highways and intersections across Islamabad have been decorated with beautiful green crescent colors. Government buildings as well as private business centers have also been decorated. On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released the names of the heads of delegations of some countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting. Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang will lead his delegation in the SCO Summit, a delegation from India will also participate, Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar will lead the Indian delegation, Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Arif will lead the Iranian delegation. The Prime Minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, will head the delegation of his country.

The SCO Summit will be held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16, hosted by Pakistan. The 23rd meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif at Jinnah Convention Center. Heads and high-level delegations of China, Russia, India, Central Asian states and other member states will participate in this meeting which is of great diplomatic importance for Pakistan, as it will discuss the important issues of the region, including economic development, security cooperation and regional stability issues.

In view of the importance of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), extraordinary security measures have been taken in Islamabad. Security will be on high alert during this conference, road patrols, check posts at entrances and exits, and security cameras have been installed at important places so that any untoward situation can be dealt with in a timely manner. India’s participation in this conference has also become a center of attention at the global level, because there has been tension in the relations between the two countries in recent years.
