Sharjeel Memon Welcomes Federal Government’s Environmental and Agricultural Emergency

KARACHI (Baaghi TV) – September 13, 2025: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has welcomed the federal government’s decision to declare an environmental and agricultural emergency, saying the move reflects the efforts and vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

In a statement on Friday, Memon said Bilawal has always prioritized the poor, farmers, and flood-affected families, treating their suffering as his own. “The PPP will not rest until the victims are fully rehabilitated under his leadership,” he added.

The minister, however, expressed concern that no relief package had yet been announced under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), saying flood-hit families are still waiting. He also criticized the delay in appealing for international assistance through the United Nations, calling it “incomprehensible.”

Memon stressed that the PPP would continue to be the people’s voice at every forum and work to make rehabilitation of victims a national agenda by tabling resolutions in parliament. He further highlighted that agriculture had suffered the most from recent disasters and noted Bilawal’s vision to restore farmers’ livelihoods.

“The Sindh government is already taking practical steps to revive the agriculture sector, and we expect full cooperation from the federal government,” Memon said.
