Shehbaz Sharif’s bail plea seeks reply from NAB

Lahore, 29th March: PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s bail has been fixed for 13th of April at the Lahore High Court.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Shehbaz Sharif’s bail application was heard in the money laundering reference on Monday.

A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court heard the petition. The court issued notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Shehbaz Sharif’s petition seeking a reply and adjourned the hearing till April 13.

The petition states that the reference of money laundering has been filed and the trial is on and that there is no transaction in Shehbaz Sharif’s name.

Shehbaz Sharif said that he has been in jail for several months, all the records are with NAB. He urged the court to order his release on bail.

According to reports, Shehbaz Sharif had directed the legal team to prepare a draft of bail. Azam Nazir Tarar, Ahsan Bhoon, Amjad Pervez and Mohammad Nawaz prepared the draft of bail. Medical grounds were also included in the bail application.

It should be noted that Shehbaz Sharif was arrested by the NAB after his bail application was rejected. The court had sent him on judicial remand.
