Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid of UAE passes away

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, brother of Sheikh Muhammed, the ruler of Dubai, has passed away, according to a Baaghi TV report.

Sheikh Muhammad confirmed the news that his brother, ‘his companion’, has passed away. Sheikh Muhammad added that his brother had been ill for a really long time and was undergoing treatment at the hospital. Additionally, the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid has served as Minister of Finance.

On the death of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, a user on the social networking site Twitter wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna lillahi rajayun, a man, a friend, a companion, a loving brother died in Dubai today. Today is a day of mourning in Dubai, everyone in Dubai is sad, Dubai has never seen such sadness before”.
