Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said in a message on Pakistan Day, “Today is a reminder of how we pledged to be an independent and sovereign state. A state where the law is the same for all, the economic, social and cultural resources are the same, a state that gives bread to the poor and shelter to the homeless”.
Chairman Kashmir Committee Sheharyar Afridi said, congratulations to the entire nation on Pakistan Day. Kashmir is an incomplete agenda of the partition of 1947. We will continue all possible efforts for the independence of Kashmir. We will continue to provide diplomatic, moral and political support to Kashmiris. This day reminds us of the sacrifices made by our elders, the sacrifices of the freedom fighters of Occupied Kashmir will not go in vain.
Federal Minister for Privatization Mian Muhammad Soomro said that today reminds us of the sacrifices of our great leaders. The March 23rd resolution made it possible for us to breathe freely. After this resolution, everyone’s goal was to establish an independent Islamic state. Today is a day of victory over hatred, inequality and prejudice. Celebrate this day with national spirit.
On the occasion of 23rd March, Pakistan Resolution Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm all over Pakistan. The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital. On this occasion, the soldiers of Pakistan Army chanted slogans of “Long live Pakistan”. The day also started with salute of 21 cannons in Lahore garrison. The Peshawar garrison also fired 21 artillery shells in connection with the Independence Day celebrations. The day started with a salute of 21 cannons in Quetta Cantt.
In his message on Pakistan Day, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that today we pledge to make Pakistan an economically strong and prosperous country and to uphold democratic values, rule of law and Islamic way of life in accordance with the vision of the founders. For lasting peace in South Asia, the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is key, according to relevant Security Council resolutions.
