Shilpa Shetty gets emotional after her family tests positive for COVID-19

Lahore, 10th May: With coronavirus cases on the rise in India, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s family had tested positive for the virus.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra announced on her social media accounts that her husband Raj Kundra, Son Viaan and daughter Samisha have tested positive for COVID-19.

The 45-year-old actress told not only them but her parents-in-law and mother have also contracted the virus.

The ‘Khiladi’ gal announced on her Twitter account on May 7, “The last 10 days have been difficult for us as a family. My parents-in-law tested positive for Covid-19, followed by Samisha, Viaan-Raj, my Mom, and lastly, Raj. They’ve all been in isolation in their rooms at home as per the official guidelines and have been following the doctor’s advice.”

She added that besides her family, two of her in-house staff members have also tested positive for COVID-19, who are currently being treated at a hospital.

Shetty also wrote that all safety measures have been followed according to the protocol and that she is grateful to the BMC and authorities for their help.

Shilpa Shetty wrote in her post that her family members are on a road to recovery. She urged her fans to keep them all in their prayers.

The actor herself has, however, tested negative for the virus.

Shetty has been sharing motivational and emotional posts on her Instagram account since her family had to go through a tough time.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra got married in 2009. Together they have a son, Viaan born in 2012 and a daughter, Samisha, who was born through surrogacy in 2020.
