Lahore, 10th May: A decline in coronavirus cases and deaths has been reported in Punjab after restrictions were imposed in the province.

In Punjab, a decrease in the number of coronavirus cases and deaths has been observed after the provincial government imposed a strict lockdown in the province.

According to the data collected from the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, 1,393 new infections were reported in Punjab over the last 24 hours and 26 people lost their lives due to the infection.

Out of the 1,393 cases, 501 were reported from Lahore, while 5 people died from COVID-19 in the city.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 3,447 new cases were reported in the country, hence, the positivity rate of new cases was recorded at 9.12%.
