KARACHI, July 5 (online Int’l): Sindh government while rejecting the decision of Economic Coordination Committee of increasing Rs 2.89 in the electricity prices for K-electric consumers has said that this decision by Economic Coordination Committee of increasing the electricity prices is equal to having enmity with Sindh.

The Provincial Minister Ismail Rahu said in his statement that how Federal Government can increase the electricity prices without consulting with Sindh Government, we reject this type of decision.

Instead of taking notice of cruelty with K-electric consumers the federal government themselves increased electricity prices, he added. He said the Federal Government drops the bomb of expenses every month on the people of Sindh.

Ismail Rahu said that there is no electricity in Karachi so why the prices should be increased to Rs 3, 10 hours of load shedding is being observed within 24 hours. He further said that if the federal government will not take back the decision of increasing electricity prices for K- Electric consumers, so we will protest against it.
This government is run by not other than IMF, heavy bills are being received from the people of Karachi even with the long hours of load shedding.
