Sindh govt makes big announcement regarding opening of educational institutions

KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced to open all educational institutions from September 15 and issued SOPs for all government and private schools.

According to details, the Sindh government has issued a notification announcing the reopening of educational institutions from September 15, in which it said that all government and private schools will be reopened with SOPs.

The Sindh government has issued SOPs for school administrators, students and teachers, which must be implemented by school owners and administrators.

School administrations have been asked to spray disinfectants regularly in school buildings, classrooms, set school days and times to avoid large gatherings of students in classrooms and pre-primary, primary, lower secondary and Upper secondary students should be divided into shifts.

Students and teachers will be required to wear masks and the morning assembly must be held in the relevant classroom, while students, teachers and other staff with COVID-19 positive will not be allowed to enter the school.

According to SOPs, teachers should teach students to cover their mouths and noses when coughing and ensure that classroom furniture is kept at a reasonable distance.

Education Minister gives a major statement about reopening of schools

Students travel and wear masks in class, wash their hands frequently, do not touch the face.

It may be recalled that on August 27, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood had said that the final decision regarding the reopening of educational institutions would be taken by consensus on September 7.

Briefing the NCO, Shafqat Mahmood stressed that the educational institutions must ensure compliance with all the protocols of COVID-19 and prepare accordingly before making a final decision.
