Sindh Wants Change: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the people of Sindh want change but they need to be convinced that there is another party that can help them.

Addressing a press conference in Multan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that PP-38 Sialkot had been under the control of PML-N for a long time, where they continued being in power for a good amount of time, but the people there turned around and nominated PTI nominees. This trend of allowing change in leadership must be continued, he said.

He said that they have started work in Sindh, and under the leadership of the Prime Minister, a strategy has been worked out for political relations.

He said that he himself had gone to Karachi where he met some friends and in the coming days, will be meeting more friends so the people of Sindh can be approached, their issues discussed, and solutions can be presented.

“Our analysis is that the people of Sindh want change, they need to be convinced that there is now another party that can help them who wants to solve their problems,” he said.

Congratulating the management of Multan Solid Waste Management Company, he said that disposing of solid waste during Eid is a big challenge but they have done a better job this year than the last and a good report has been received regarding it.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that matters regarding the establishment of the South Punjab Secretariat have been settled and the contractor will start work on it from Monday. He said secretaries of the South Punjab Secretariat will be independent and empowered to resolve whatever persisting issues there are on their own.
